Feature questions

Do I have to pay to use it?

The download is free and no account is required, but the app is a paid product. You get a 3-day free trial on the weekly plan; after that you need a plan to keep recording. If you would rather not install anything yet, the free browser teleprompter needs nothing at all.

Can the prompt end up in my video?

Not from the in-app recording modes. The prompt is a display layer that never joins the composited picture, and you can confirm it in the preview before saving. Screen recording is different: it captures the whole display, prompt included.

Does Voice Sync need an internet connection?

Writing, prompting, and recording do not depend on the network. Voice Sync uses the speech recognition built into the device, and whether that needs a connection depends on how the system supports your language.

Will it work with my beam-splitter rig?

Yes. Mirror mode is a per-script setting, so the text reads correctly through the glass. The trade-offs between rigs and phone prompting are laid out in teleprompter vs autocue.

Is there an Android or desktop version?

Not today. The app is iOS and iPadOS only. Everything else runs in a browser through the free tools.
